Revelations, The other shoe and Good byes!

Good byes:
I hate them! This is one of my all time favorite songs. So, crank up the volume.......

*UPDATE:
TILL THE NEXT GOODBYE!
(M. Jagger/K. Richards)

Honey, is there any place that you would like to eat?
I know a coffee shop down on Fifty-Second Street
And I don't need no fancy food and I don't need no fancy wine
And I sure don't need the tears you cry
Till the next time we say goodbye
Till the next time we say goodbye
Till the next time we say goodbye
I'll be thinking of you
I'll be thinking of you

Yeah, a movie house on Forty-Second Street
Ain't a very likely place for you and I to meet
Watching the snow swirl around your hair and around your feet
And I'm thinking to myself she surely looks a treat
Till the next time we say goodbye
Till the next time we say goodbye
Till the next time that we kiss goodnight
I'll be thinking of you
I'll be thinking of you

I can't go on like this, can ya? Can ya?
I can't go on like this, can ya?

You give me a cure all from New Orleans
Now that's a recipe I sure do need
Some cider vinegar and some elderberry wine
May cure all your ills, but it can't cure mine
Your Lou'siana recipes have let me down
Your Lou'siana recipes have surely let me down
Till the next time we say goodbye
Drink to it
Till the next time we say goodbye
Till the next time that we kiss goodnight
Till the next time we say goodbye
Till the next time we say goodbye
Till the next time that we kiss goodnight
I'll be thinking of you
I'll be thinking of you

Hey Sue, great to see ya posting with some frequency. it tough in the summertime with so many things going on and trying to enjoy the good weather. How did the downloading work out? What CD is this song from? I have a half dozen Stones CD's and don't see it anywhere. Or did someone else cover it?

But I'm really real and you're really real and ranceman is real and Suejoy (a joy!) so really real. imagine the geniuses at Google who thought up and created blogger! "multi-millionaires" might speak volumes, anyone's listening.

You write well indeed and I say, therefore, concentrate on the hello to that goodbye. hello could be the left shoe, but it's a shoe prepared to drop and oh what neat thump-thunder!

Imaginary friends? I don't think so! I know I'm real! we're all real people. Your friends don't know what they're missing! They should start blogging too.

Hi Sue,

I think that might not be so much about fatalism, the outlook of always waiting for the other shoe to drop, but healthy realism: everyone knows that life is not always cheery cheery good but less good things DO happen.

As for the people who think the friends you've made through the blogs are not real...Well, I just pinched myself and it hurt so I think I'm real. Then again I may be imagining that I am real, that I pinched myself and that it hurt. :-) Anyway, the blogger is just a medium of communication meant to help bring people together, people who often live so far away from each that they otherwise would never have learned of each other's existence.

Actually I'm not. I'm made of genetically altered drums sticks, guitar strings, bass amplifiers and ivory keys. I am fed chocolate as a means to keep the digits moving so that I can type, so that I can type. You have been selected for a comment. Thanks for supporting my music, it means alot to me. I would cry because I'm so happy but I do not have any tear ducts made for my helmet and normally use an external fluid device. But I am grateful nevertheless. Have a great evening!! I'll leave you with a quote from Steven Wright, comedian, If everything seems to be going well, you have obviously overlooked something.

I LOVE that song!!!! ...and, I hate goodbye's so much that I simply do not do them. I just don't. Can't deal with it.

And, I live in a sort of expectation of that other shoe. As I grew up I adapted to that idea that one should hope for the best but expect the worst. Not sure how healthy this is, but it seems to serve me well.

You are an excellent writer!

Hey Susie-
Aw such a heartfelt post.
Oh I hear ya - my husband gives me such a hard time about blogging. I guess it's all about balance. It's so incredibly addicting - but in a GOOD way, I think!
Hey it's not porn - right? Could be worse.
I'm so glad I met you Sue - so you see as Gina put it so sweetly, we are ALL very real!

I love my cyber friends - blogging has changed me for the better - I think!
We need to have a blogging convention (at your house - and you can invite ALL your friends who think you're cuckoo!).
:)
I have no idea who Silent Bob and Jay are.
I guess I'm out of touch w/ all things American now!
Take care and your pics will be up TOMORROW! woo whoooooo!
Bye
Love ya,
Sue D.

P.S. Gina is the coolest (not just because of the compliment!). Like Pete's diaries, I gobble up her writing, don't you?
P.P.S. Pete's diary made me cry today - it was so beautiful. (Yes,Pete please tell me 60ish women are beautiful !! hee hee ok not just that part... really! i know .. I'm so vain!).
;)

Oh and how could I forget Maria - who always elucidates my thoughts more clearly than I ever can??
It's uncanny - but she has a knack that way!
(sorry for the iffy grammar - it's late and I need to get my youngin' to bed!). Good thing there's no CPS here in Taipei.
Maybe there is, they just haven't found me yet!

The other shoe will drop. I know it. But, when it does, I will have to just buy another pair.

I need to use that the next time I start to sabotage!

What is so good about goodbyes? I don't care for them, unless... unless it's a job I hate, a gig that's suffering from poor musicianship, a film that's too Hollywood, war.

I could go on, but I won't. Not this time.

Cool song choice, though, I must add.

I am definitely real, Sue. Unashamedly so.

Hi Sue!

I won't make any "I am real" comments since it's been done
but might I add that the last
four WHO tours,I had the pleasure
of meeting up with hundreds of
bloggers,emailers,chatgroupers
from Florida to Massachusetts.
The greatest experience was when
I successfully organized a WHO
convention in NYC in 2003 on
John Entwistles birthdate.I had
the pleasure of meeting WHO fans
from England,Netherlands,Ireland
and allover the States.Matter of
fact,my girlfriend of 4 years,well,
I met her on the internet, lol.
Nice Stones song,I'm stunned that
I've never heard of it so I must
seek it out,you have me curious.
Did you read Pete's diary entry?
Thursday on www.thewhotour.com
via satellite from Berlin,Pete
and Roger will have a live press
conference to announce the U.S.
tour and tour dates from a secret
location in NYC.Go ahead and sign
up on www.thewhotour.com if you
havent already.This is pretty
darn exciting and it's happening
fast!

I just want to rap it up and say
I really enjoyed reading your
post Revelations,The Other Shoe
and Good Byes! Great title!!:)

Hi Sue,
I think the best way to avoid waiting for the other shoe to drop is to go through life barefoot. :)

Thanks for stopping by my blog to say hi. We are having a great time and I hope you're enjoying things as well.
